This was our second stay, we love it. The accommodations are great and the location divine. The on-site bikes and paddle boards and snorkeling gear are such a bonus. Wake up and paddle out…, every morning. The support team are excellent.

Wonderful location at Makena Surf. Awesome snorkeling with the turtles and kayaking with the whales right from the beaches at Makena Surf. Would love to return someday.

The location was good for us with easy access to the beach and other island sites. House is well stocked with kitchen accessories, beach going toys, towels, chairs, boogie boards, etc. Owners were responsive and communicated well. House was spacious and met our needs.

This place was so great!! I wish that we could spend every vacation there. The view from the 8th floor was so worth it. We could sit and see turtles and whales. Loved that they had binoculars to use. The breeze, the rainbows- everything was so perfect from the balcony. I will say that if you are looking for a beach to do water activities (surfing or body boarding), this location didn’t have a lot of waves that made that an option. That was fine for us, but ocean adventurers will need to travel to one is the local parks to catch those kind of waves. On site there was a Guide to Maui to help with planning outings. We left an updated version so future guests could use it. There were beach towels and some beach items. Everything we needed, they had. It was AMAZING! Thank you for sharing your space with us.

I love the Honau Kai. I’ve stayed here many times. This unit was probably my least favorite of all the units I’ve stayed in. But that’s okay. Still a great space. My one problem was that the AC was out for 24 hours. And no one in Westside management even had a clue this was happening. I brought it to their attention. Which is somewhat frustrating. Then they also had no idea when it would be fixed. Made for an uncomfortable 24 hours as this unit faces the sun directly. Also didn’t seem to get a lot of understanding from the Westside management— they offered no discount or compensation. There are so many great rental companies on Maui and at the Honoa Kai, I wouldn’t deal with Westside again. Especially for premium prices.

Annabel’s place was beautiful. It was so nice to come “home” to after long days of snorkeling and swimming and sight seeing. It was very comfortable. My granddaughter slept on the sofa bed and went to sleep to the sound of the ocean every night. The bed in the bedroom was very comfortable. We had trouble using the washer (totally user error) and Anabel answered me within 10 mins so that I was able to get my laundry done that night. Hopefully the next time we’re in Maui we will be able to stay here again.
