We enjoyed the peaceful setting of Birdsong Cottage and loved our walks in the ecosanctuary next door. The history of this home is truly remarkable, and we appreciated having the historical context to deepen the experience. The kitchen was large and well-stocked, with a good-sized table for bigger gatherings. We enjoyed sitting on the front porch and enjoying the gorgeous view over a glass of sparkling wine. Man wohnt quasi mitten in der Natur und der Blick über den Wald ist wundervoll. Hier wurde ein kleines Refugium geschaffen mit all den selbstgefertigten Holz- und Handwerksarbeiten. Respekt! Wir haben die Natur und das Haus sehr genossen. Der Weg zum Haus ist tatsächlich etwas steiler und die Warnung nur leichtes Gepäck mitzunehmen sollte ernst genommen werden, da es keinen Lastenaufzug für schwere Koffer gibt.

Great place to stay whilst visiting mt hutt! The house is everything is states and super cosy. Robyn was very helpful, would definitely stay again :)

We had a fantastic stay! Leonie and Danie have created beautiful welcoming well equipped spaces which a so clean and have a real homely feel. We highly recommend this property and if we are ever back in Ashburton we would definitely stay again.

Great and private location with plenty of hikes around the area. Had everything that we needed for the two weeks stay. Lovely garden and peaceful surroundings. Heat pump and heated blankets if it gets cold. Dishwasher for the post meal slump. Highly recommend.

Exactly what we needed for a couples escape from Christchurch. Our second time visiting this gem. Private and comfortable, with an incredibly big bed. I don't think I've ever seen a cleaner place on AirBnB. And the homemade bread and jam was the cherry on top. Thanks so much Tracy for another wonderful stay - we did not want to leave.
