Beautiful southernmost point og the Tromsø island. Amazing mountain view, public barbeques, beach and hikingtrail all the way to city centre by the shore.
Telegrafbukta is a beautiful place to visit all year around. In winter it's a spot where you might be able to catch the northern lights and you can enjoy the beautiful scenery of the mountains around Tromsø.
An easy scenic walk along the southern coast. There is also a beach area with tables and a heritage house. Telegrafbukta bus stop right in front, take #33 there and #34 back. It's also not too much a walk to get there. Note: It can get windy.
Its only 10 min drive or 20 min by bus ( route 33 from town or «Bjørnstrand»).There is a path from the beach along the shore. You can bring some wood and make a fire here at several places. Close toTromsø museum. It’s also a good place to spot the northern lights when its dark.
In Norwegian language, this place is called «Telegrafbukta». Here you can have a nice walk along the seaside. In the summer, you can also sunbathe or have a picknic here when the weather is good. On friday afternoons during the winter season, you may see som local people having an ice bath...
