A sommelier's journey through natural German wines

Explore a curated selection of biodynamic and natural wines from Germany and Austria in a casual, intimate setting. You’ll explore exceptional wines paired with music by German composers, adding a fun twist to traditional tastings. • We’ll begin with my story of Treat Berlin, from its neighborhood roots to becoming a wine bar and import business. I’ll share my journey and inspiration for creating a space that celebrates unique wines. • Discover the differences between conventional, biodynamic, and natural wines. You’ll learn tasting techniques during a fun, interactive game I’ve designed to deepen your appreciation for each bottle. • Enjoy a guided tasting of six wines, exploring their flavor profiles, production methods, and the mission of the winemakers behind them. I’ll also share insights into sustainable winemaking and the connections between the wines and their vineyards. Through this tasting, you’ll gain a richer understanding of biodynamic and natural wines, uncover the stories of their passionate makers, and discover how sustainable winemaking connects to both flavor and tradition.

Taste your way through African history in Berlin Kreuzberg

The Berlin neighborhoods of Kreuzberg and Neukölln are renowned for their multicultural character. Join me for a culinary tour that explores decolonial narratives around food, highlighting the global influences that have shaped African and German cuisines. • Meet at Sahara Imbiss, a beloved Sudanese restaurant, where we’ll start with appetizers and talk about the Arab and British influences on Sudanese cuisine. • Next, we’ll walk to nearby Ethiopian and German restaurants, tasting a few dishes at each place. We’ll discuss the historical ties between Ethiopia and Germany as well as the international origins of favorite German dishes like döner kebab. • We’ll conclude by savoring West African dishes at a fourth restaurant as we reflect on how culinary traditions evolve in a globalized world. Over the course of the afternoon, you’ll sample an array of drinks and vegetarian dishes, and leave with my recommendations for other Berlin restaurants to explore.

We’ll meet at my unique studio in Berlin’s up-and-coming neighborhood of Wedding, where each corner of the space tells a story. In true Omakase form, the menu of five moments changes based on what’s fresh and intriguing at the market. I’ll present and share the ingredients behind each locally sourced dish. I’ll join you for dessert, drinks, and lively conversation about your culinary journey and time in Berlin. From playlists curated by Berlin DJs to vibrant aromas and flavors, every part of the night offers a taste of magic. You’ll leave nourished and inspired by your dining experience and with a true sense of Berlin.

Historic Pubs of Berlin & Berlin Beer Tour

Join us on this 4-hour journey through Berlin's historic pubs, savor local beers, and walk through history—from medieval streets to reunified Berlin. We will visit 3 venues plus a stop at a "spatkauf" a local favorite. The tour takes place in one of the oldest areas of the city and will include Beer tastings and the history of beer in Germany. Our expert guide will shares the tales and legends, of the city bringing the history of Berlin and its beloved beer culture to life. We keep the group small up to 10 people so that everyone has chance to get to know each other, be comfortable in venues, and learn how these local business service the city of Berlin. We will enjoy some beers together while the guide explains the history of the city, its beer and the Venus. This unique experience is the best way to learn about the history of Beer and Pub life in the city of Berlin, which was and continues to be an important part of society here. Very different from your normal beer or craft beer tour, we will explore historic locations in the oldest part of the city as well as the historic pubs that served and continues to serve the people that live here.

Wir freuen uns auf drei unvergessliche Stunden mit Dir – Staunen, Lachen und Schlemmen inklusive. Während dieser Tour führen wir Dich zu historischen Orten, wo Du spannende Anekdoten zur bewegten Geschichte und Gegenwart erfährst und die einzigartige Atmosphäre Kreuzbergs spüren kannst. Kreuzberg ist gelebtes Multi-Kulti, Ausgehviertel, linke Protesthochburg und echter Berliner Lifestyle. Kreuzberg wurde gegründet als Arbeiterviertel. Über viele Jahre sahen sich die Bewohner den Entscheidungen wechselnder Regierungen und Interessen ausgeliefert. Bis der Tag kam, an dem sie sich wehrten. Es gründeten sich Aktionsbündnisse und feste kulturelle Institutionen wie der Musik- und Kulturclub SO36 als absoluter Hotspot der autonomen Szene. Kreuzberg war schon immer ein Schmelztiegel verschiedenster Individuen. Kriegsdienstverweigerer, Intellektuelle, Künstler und Kreative wurden schon zu DDR-Zeiten vom Sonderstatus Westberlins angezogen. Heute leben hier 180 Nationalitäten neben- und miteinander. Wir besuchen die wichtigsten Orte und Du wirst von deinem Guide häppchenweise mit spannendem Insider-Wissen versorgt.
